When I was younger I believed, that dreams came true.
Now I wonder.
Cause’ I’ve seen much more dark skies, than blue.
Now I wonder.

I keep on praying for a blue sky, I keep on searching through the rain.
I keep on thinking of the good times, will they ever come again
Now I wonder.

When I was younger I believed, that I could win.
Now I wonder.

There was a time when you and I, walked hand & hand.
Now I wonder.

I keep on searching for the old me, I keep on thinking I can change.
I keep on hoping for a new day, will I ever feel the same
Now I wonder.
Oh I wonder.
Now I wonder.

they say if you love somebody
then you have got to set them free
but i would rather be locked to you than live in this pain and misery
they say that time will make all this go away
but its time that has taken my tomorrows and turned them into yesterday
and once again that rising sun is a droppin on down
and once again you my friend are no where to be found.

i see you talking on a pay phone
i see you walking through the parking lot alone
i see you sitting on a park bench
youre everywhere and it makes no sense
but its nothing new
everybody looks like you

i see you driving on the freeway
i heard your name on the radio today
a redhead on the trolley car
and every girl in this bar
with green eyes or blue
everybody looks like you

everybody looks like you
but they cant take your place
everybody looks like you
everywhere i turn i see your face

youre pushing strollers on the sidewalk
your head back laughing at the coffee shop
with a lizard tattoo
everybody looks like you

i see your face on a billboard
standing in line at the grocery store
and the movies too
everybody looks like you

i see you sitting on a park bench
youre everywhere and it makes no sense
but its nothing new
everybody looks like you

everybody looks like you
everybody looks like you

He said I’m going to buy this place and burn it down. I’m going to put it six feet underground. He said I’m going to buy this place and watch it fall. Stand here beside me baby in the crumbling walls. Oh I’m going to buy this place and start a fire. Stand here until I fill all your heart’s desires. Because I’m going to buy this place and see it burn. Do back the things it did to you in return. Ah, ah, ah.

He said Oh I’m going to buy a gun and start a war. If you can tell me something worth fighting for. Oh and I’m going to buy this place, that’s what I said. Blame it upon a rush of blood to the head to the head. (And) honey. All the movements you’re starting to make. See me crumble and fall on my face. And I know the mistakes that I made. See it all disappear without a trace. And they call as they beckon you on. They said start as you mean to go on. Start as you mean to go on. He said I’m going to buy this place and see it go. Stand here beside my baby watch the orange glow. Some’ll laugh and some just sit and cry. But you just sit down there and you wonder why.

So I’m going to buy a gun and start a war. If you can tell me something worth fighting for. And I’m going to buy this place, that’s what I said. Blame it upon a rush of blood to the head. And honey. All the movements you’re starting to make. See me crumble and fall on my face. And I know the mistakes that I made. See it all disappear without a trace. And they call as they beckon you on. They said start as you mean to go on. As you mean to go on, as you mean to go on.

So meet me by the bridge, meet me by the lane. When am I going to see that pretty face again. Meet me on the road, meet me where I said. Blame it all upon. A rush of blood to the head.
